The Church today is suffering from a rash of amateurism, that is, we like to have just everybody, anything, anywhere, and anyhow worship and it can’t be, you must prepare yourself to worship God, and that preparation is not always a pleasant one, because there must be some revolutionary changes in your life, there must be some things destroyed in your life and some of our spiritual leaders are not broken that is why they are just entertaining the church and the church in turn entertain the world, like shepherd like sheep. A shallow and worldly leadership would modify the cross to please the entertainment-mad saint who will have their fun even within the sanctuary, which can cause spiritual disaster and risk the anger of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not a religious theater to provide a place for amateur entertainers to display their talents.
The church is not simply a religious institution. It is not a place to train an entertainers or a religious theater where the performers are paid to amuse those who attend. It is an assembly of redeemed, sinner’s men and women called unto Christ and commission to spread His gospel to the end of the earth. Religious entertainment has so corrupted the Church of Christ that millions don’t know that it’s a heresy and millions of the Pentecostals throughout the world have devoted themselves to religious entertainment.
We need to separate ourselves from the systems of the world, we believe that we are called to separation, we are called to separate from the world’s follies and the world’s pleasures and the worlds ways and the world’s values and the world’s ambitions and the world’s greed and the world’s vices and the world’s habits. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then will know what God wants you to, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will really is”. Rom12:2, Jer15:19.
There is a sharp moral antithesis which exists between the Church and the world and this can never be reconciled. It affects every Christian so that the Christian sins when he associates with the world. He grieves the Holy Spirit by worldly living and stunts his spiritual growth by copying the world.
